The “Kós Károly” School Group is one of the biggest vocational training institution in Covasna country. The school has the following profiles: textile and leather industry, wood product manufacturing and construction industry. We would like to satisfy the needs of the industry by providing well-qualified, vocationally well-trained specialists: skilled workers and technicians.
The goal that we would like to achieve is that the vocational training would get back the well deserved social and material appreciation. We believe that value can be produced only by hard and qualitative work; there is a big need of well-trained specialists not only in this country but in the whole of Europe.
Our school trains specialists who build and produce not only allegorically but in the real sense of the word. We would like to achieve that the name of the school would be equal in meaning with the trustworthy, demanding specialist that the school trains, and that those students who graduate our school would say proudly: “I attended the “Kós Károly” School Group”.
The result of our efficient work is that our students can successfully start their career on the labor market, or they can continue their studies by attending a course at our school, or attending a college or university.

☼ Our most successful tenders, programs that we organized:

o RICOP PHARE/2001-43000 EUROS-adult training and expansion,
o PHARE / 2000- 24000 EUROS- adult training and expansion,
o SOCRATES/COMENIUS 1/2005 – 10000 EUROS
o A project effectuated together with a school from Finland;
o The Perspektiva Foundation won financial support from the Apáczai Foundation many times, the total sum of these sponsorships was 7000000 HUF. that was given for the expansion of the school (computer studies and workshop),
o GRANT SCOLAR 2007-13000 EUROS- foreign language lab;
o the school organized and hosted the 7th International Architectural Conference, 26 vocational training institutions participated at this event;
o 2009- the inauguration ceremony of Kós Károly’s bust in front of the main building.

Today’s society and developing economy searches for and needs well-trained young people who can handle and work with the new technology. Our school offers students the possibility to learn the technological skills that are necessary for the drawing, for knowledge about materials, substances, new technologies and design that all help them to continue their studies. More and more materials, technologies and methods are showing up on the market and disused, out of date reticulation (network) has to be replaced by a new one.
The boarding school and the refectory enables the organization of holiday-programs for students. The school offers the ideal opportunity to organize camps, training camps, conferences and trainings.
The training and the professional education takes place in 5 buildings, on a 11000m2 area; the practical training takes place in well-equipped training workshops:
 A workshop for garment trade and weaving
 Workshops for teaching joinery, architecture, engineering, technical drawing as well as for water-, gas- and central heating fitters
The “Kós Károly” School Group provides training in the following fields and professional qualifications:

- technician in technical drawing for constructions and building service
- technician in vestimentary design
- technician in wood processing
- mason, stone cutter, plasterer
- worker in the knitwear and ready-made-clothes industries
- textile products manufacturer
- general carpenter
- fitters of water, gas and central heating

With organizing professional trainings and offering modern subjects and methods for the adults, the „Kós Károly” School Group also creates a possibility to develop the region. Those students who graduate this school have a good chance to find a job because the professions that are taught in the school are based on the expectations of the contractors and on the needs of the labor force of the region.
Students in our school can attend a lot of art, science and cultural events, they can get to know the partner-schools. Students always come back with awards from national and local professional contests.
The school takes part in the International Architectural Conference every year.
